Can’t Make the Run for the Roses? The University of Louisville Alumni Are Holding An Event in Southern California
The 138th running of the Kentucky Derby takes place on Saturday, May 5, and for those in Southern California not consumed by Cinco de Mayo, the transplanted University of Louiville alumni if Los Angeles are having a house party.
It’s in North Tustin near Santa Ana (and Disneyland) in Orange County.
Naturally, the locals know how to bring the party to where they are, and this means Mint Juleps, Kentucky bourbon and orginal Kentucky home-cooked food (burgeo and fried chicken).
The price is $40 per person but only $20 if you are a recent U of L grad.
If you want to go, tell ’em in advance. Here’s the website: www.uoflsocalcards.com/derbyparty.htm
