More Than 70,000 People Go Through Nearly 900 Kegs Of Budweiser In This Two-Day Party
One of the biggest events of the year in Long Beach, CA, takes place this weekend.
It’s the Long Beach Lesbian & Gay Pride Festival and it’s happening again (May 21-22).
This is one huge event. There are 70,000 people in attendance and beer provider Budweiser goes through 900 kegs during the two days. That is not a typo; it’s nine hundred kegs of beer.
The event, which has been going on for more than 25 years, is held around Shoreline Drive, which spits Marina Green and Rainbow Lagoon on what is known as Lower Pine Ave. The event runs from 11 a.m.-10 p.m., and there’s a parade Sunday morning, which starts at Cherry Ave., and Ocean Blvd., (Bixby Park), at 9:30 a.m.
There’s a main stage with several live acts, food and, of course, plenty of beer. Tickets are $20.
